Pentacles

Essence

I am the figure who clutches coins. In my image, a man sits outside a city, a pentacle balanced on his head, one clutched to his chest, two under his feet. He holds everything close, controls everything. The city is behind him - community he's left to protect his wealth. I am security sought through control, the fear of loss that creates its own prison.

Upright

Themes: Security, control, possessiveness, holding on, boundaries, conservation, but also: fear of loss, isolation, stagnation.

I speak with the voice of one who has learned fear. I am about security, control, holding tight to what you have. When I appear, I acknowledge that protection has value - but I also ask: has security become prison? The coins don't move. I don't move. The city is far away. What is this security really costing? **Themes:** Security, control, possessiveness, holding on, boundaries, conservation, but also: fear of loss, isolation, stagnation.

Reversed

Themes: Letting go, generosity, flow, or: extreme greed, financial loss through fear, tightening grip that loses everything.

I speak of letting go or grip tightening further. Either you're loosening your hold, allowing flow and generosity, or you've become so possessive that you're losing what you tried to protect. My reversed message asks: can you open your hands? Or has the fear won? **Themes:** Letting go, generosity, flow, or: extreme greed, financial loss through fear, tightening grip that loses everything.
